| What
is the cost of my initial consultation?
Initial cosmetic consultations
are complimentary. This provides
patients an opportunity to discuss
contemplated surgery in detail
and to learn what is involved
with a particular procedure and
expected outcomes. This also provides
patients the opportunity to ask
unlimited questions and become
educated and informed at no charge.
Are cosmetic
surgical procedures covered by
insurance?
Dr. Murtagh does not participate
in any insurance plans. Our fee-for-service
practice means that the patient
is responsible for full payment.
Some insurance companies will
pay for reconstructive plastic
surgery to correct impairments
left by serious illness or injury.
It is the patients sole responsibility
to get pre-approval from his or
her insurance and to submit paperwork
for reimbursement.
What does
my fee include?
Surgical fees quoted are typically
all-inclusive, covering anesthesia,
facility fee and all post-operative
follow-up visits.
Do you offer
any financing?
We’re pleased to offer
our patients the CareCredit card,
North America's leading patient
payment program. CareCredit lets
you begin your treatments immediately
— then pay for it over time
with convenient monthly payments
that fit easily into your budget.
The CareCredit card is just as
easy to use as a regular credit
card, but it’s designed
specifically for your health and
beauty needs. Best of all, CareCredit
offers convenient payment plans
and no hidden costs. You can even
use your CareCredit card over
and over for follow-up appointments.

Where will
I have my Naples cosmetic surgery
procedure?
Dr Murtagh has an in-office operating
room where cases can be performed
under local anesthesia or light
intravenous sedation. For larger
surgical cases which require general
anesthesia, Dr Murtagh most often
operates at Physicians Day Surgery
which is an accredited free standing
surgical facility adjacent to
his private office.
Will I be
kept comfortable during and after
my procedure?
Absolutely. Your pain will be
controlled throughout the procedure
with either general anesthesia
(where you are put to sleep) or
IV sedation and analgesia that
produces a state where you are
in a deep sleep and feel no pain.
You are given pain medication
as needed post-operatively as
well as a prescription to take
home.
Do I need
to have someone with me when I
arrive for my procedure?
Yes. Even if you are not going
to be put under general anesthesia,
you are likely to receive medication
that will make you drowsy and
impair your ability to concentrate.
Surgical patients are requested
to have transportation to and
form surgery provided by a family
member or supporting friend.
Will I be
able to see results immediately
after my procedure?
Your ability to see results are
dependent upon the procedure that
you have. It will generally take
several weeks to achieve maximum
results - many procedures will
produce some initial swelling
and bruising which will rapidly
subside. More information is available
when you view details about our
surgical
cosmetic procedures, non-surgical
cosmetic procedures, reconstructive
surgical procedures and cosmetic
surgical procedures for men.
What help
can you give with travel arrangements
if I do not live in or around
the Naples area?
We can recommend some desirable
places to stay that are located
close to our office. A suite rather
than a hotel room may be more
comfortable and provide ready
access to food and refrigeration.
If you plan to extend your visit,
you might prefer to be located
right on the beach where you can
enjoy spectacular views of the
Gulf of Mexico.
Why should
I be selective about the Naples
plastic surgeon that I choose?
Not all cosmetic surgeons will
produce the beautiful and natural
looking results you are seeking
to achieve. Surgeons who are experienced,
knowledgeable and Board Certified
are more likely to produce the
best possible outcome. Click
